I Am Running For Re-election
West U thrives on smart leadership and a commitment to quality of life. I’m running for re-election to keep it that way. With major projects ahead, you can count on me to ensure wise investments and a prosperous future.

WHY I Am Running
West U is one of the best places to live in Texas, and that doesn’t happen by accident. It takes smart leadership, responsible financial decisions, and a commitment to keeping our city safe, prosperous, and beautiful. Serving on City Council has been an honor, and I am running for re-election to ensure that West U continues to represent the needs of its families and seniors.
That means we need leaders who do the deep work to make sure we invest wisely, improve property values, and maintain the high quality of life that makes our city exceptional. West U is at a critical point, with major infrastructure projects throughout the city coming. The city needs leaders who bring serious financial experience, transparency, and the courage to make difficult decisions.
As a partner at Baker Botts, I have spent my career advising on multi-billion-dollar transactions after a period managing a major energy investment portfolio. That same approach is critical for West U as we balance infrastructure needs and fiscal responsibility.

Beyond financial stewardship, I have worked to look out for all citizens of West U, young and old. That’s Why I:
01
Supported the decision to bring the library and community center to all residents for a vote.
02
Created the West U Families Board to give parents a direct platform to engage with city leaders.
03
Co-sponsored pedestrian safety improvements to make crossings at Buffalo Speedway and Weslayan safer for families and seniors.
04
Championed support for Tri-Sports, ensuring that our kids have top-tier athletic programs and facilities.

Beyond financial stewardship, I have worked to ensure all residents have a voice in city government. That’s why I:
01
Led the city’s discussion to bring the library and community center to all residents for a vote.
02
Created the West U Families Board (with Mayor Sample) to give parents a direct platform to engage with city leaders.
03
Co-sponsored pedestrian safety improvements (with Mayor Pro Tem Montgomery) to make crossings at Buffalo Speedway and Wesleyan safer for families and seniors.

Support for
City Renewal
I support the revitalizing investments in West U’s Library, Community Center, Fire Department, and Police Headquarters—projects that have been planned wisely by a generation of leaders and are long overdue. This major capital spending should be decided by the residents who fund it, which is why I support putting the library and community center financing to a referendum, which is the immediate next step in a broader plan. This is also why I have called for broad engagement with our residents to discuss the remaining projects in the civic center, the westside drainage project and our city’s water infrastructure project generally.
I also led the City’s effort to save millions of dollars by rebidding the Wastewater Treatment Plant following a failed bid process. That effort looks very successful to save taxpayer dollars by using market competition in our city’s favor. We are excited to commission that work now, commence flood resiliency work and conduct facility upgrades as our engineers determine.
I am running for re-election because I care deeply about the future of this city and want to ensure that West U remains strong for generations to come. I ask for your support this spring to continue that work.
